Fine Snowboarding Conditions All over Europe

Filed under: House Of Sports, Recreation Hub, Travel — admin @ 10:12 am

There’s been approximately 2m of snow during the last 7 days. It was so deep that lifts have been closed, the funicular was stopped at Chamonix train station and not heading up to Le Tour. Roads were shut and avalanche warnings released.

Contrast this to two winters ago, with the incredibly warm February weather conditions, rocks showing on the ski slopes, and warnings that global warming meant the conclusion of snowboarding in the European Alps. Highlighting this the OECDs study from 2006 admonished that global warming could make skiing holidays far too costly for the majority of skiers, with one-third of ski domains closing and the receding of glaciers. Climatologists assert that it’s nearly impossible to assign these seasonal deviations in the weather to the consequences of climate change.

So we could be experiencing the deepest recession in 30 yrs, and the Sterling has dropped to more lows against the euro, however the snow is supreme, and the latest reservations show that boarders are keen to take of advantage of the great conditions with our ski accommodation reserved. It is probably the finest in seven winter seasons, and a lot of skiers are saying that it’s the nicest skiing conditions in at least 10 winters.

Nevertheless recall that this amount of snow means raised avalanches risks.
