Mounting of Walking or Jogging Lights

Filed under: Templates + More — admin @ 11:55 am

Many people like to take an evening walk or jog, yet in many parts of the world during wintertime this is not possible because it is dark. If a walking or jogging light is used during such evening exercises then it is possible. But with all the bouncing around where would one mount such a light in order to keep the beam steady.

When discussing this issue with those that study the human anatomy, many believe the best place would be mounted as a “Head Light” so that wherever the individual was looking they would have the light they need to see. This brings up some good points on a head mounted walking light, yet problems arise with the way in which it is attached for comfort and steadiness. We have heard many people complain about helmets, goggles, sunglasses and miners often complain about their helmet lights or “head Lamps.” Those who use them at work do not enjoy them and are often irritated with the way they fit. When walking or jogging for pleasure this of course can cause and issue. If the unit is too lose it bobbles and if it is too tight it is highly uncomfortable and that just blows the joy of the entire event. So you can see how the light would move too much and as one think tanker recently mentioned end up;

“distorting the footpath so that the planes were not obvious, which meant more injuries.”

Another thought is to mount the walking or jogging light on the ankles and have two lights one on each ankle thus as the ankle moved the two lights would average the direction of travel. The ankle mounted light might also cause similar problems although to a bouncy “head mounted light” only closer to the ground, and thus the distortion of light to dark to light or shades there of would be lessened.

If in fact a walker had more than one, that is to say one on each leg or was walking with another with one on each leg, four lights even when moving around would be averaging out the bouncing? If these lights were mounted on each ankle of a group of trick-or-treaters or a couple or a couple of friends with a “DogLight” (trademark?) on their pet as well then that could solve the problem, as many lights would average out the shadows and create a bright and safe environment in the direction of travel preventing unnecessary tripping over obstacle that were not seen.

When designing a walking or jogging light there is much to consider in the way the light projects forward and how such light will be used. The more jarring human motion the more disarrayed the light will appear unless multiple lights or joggers are added. Think on this.

Create The Perfect Garden Pond

Filed under: University of Gardening — admin @ 6:22 am

One of the biggest privileges in my life is the ability to own my own home and property. My family and I have been blessed to be able to purchase land and create the home of our dreams on it. When I am not busy writing, there are few things you can find me doing as often as tending to my ever- messy home and overwhelming lawn and garden. I have a love and hate relationship with these chores. One the one hand, I love caring for the things I own because I feel a sense of pride about them. Yet, on the other hand, it is frustrating how much time and energy it takes to keep your home and lawn looking presentable. Recently I added to my chores by putting a garden pond in my backyard.

Frankly, I had always thought that garden ponds or really decorative pieces like them were a bit too much in most yards. They looked a bit too perfect and made the property feel less homey and inviting. I had a change of heart about garden ponds when I toured the home of a friend and discovered the most quaint and brilliant garden pond situated in a corner of her backyard. The garden pond brought an extra touch to her landscaping that became irreplacable as soon as she began.

What I now love about garden ponds is that they bring a sense of nature and of wildness into the backyard of a home that is built almost anywhere. I have seen garden ponds in the backyards of homes in urban subdivisions and in the backyards of the most quaint country cabins. And I love them. I simply love what a garden pond does for the look and feel of a piece of property.

If you are thinking of adding a garden pond to your landscape, think carefully about it and do not proceed without caution. One of the worst things can be to rush into a project like a garden pond and then regret a half-done job. Take your time and get the opinions and advice of friends and fellow landscapers before you break ground on your garden pond project. Think carefully about the perfect location of your garden-pond-to-be. Does the area you’ve chosen get enough sunshine? Do you want it to be centrally located as the center piece of your landscape or off to the side and hidden more? Think about the ideal yard you want to create and then proceed carefully into making a great garden pond.

Grab a few books or get online and find hints on making a garden pond a reality on your property. It won’t be easy, but if done well, the results will be worth it.

Rachael Cleipher has been enjoying her garden pond for a few years. She has consulted several friends on creating great garden ponds as well. See more at www.aboutgardenpond.info

Choosing Your Web Hosting Reseller Software

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 3:57 am

As a web host reseller, one of your most important business decisions is your choice of web hosting control panel software. The web hosting software you use will save or cost you time, money, and frustration. What reseller control panel features will reduce your workload? What hosting software programs are integrated with the reseller control panel or work with it? What website control panel features will your clients like? In this article, we’ve compared four quality web hosting reseller software programs:

Alabanza

cPanel

H-Sphere

Plesk

All of these reseller control panels come with control panels for your clients. They all have numerous features advanced email management, web statistics, pre-installed scripts, multi-language support, and more. They all work on Linux platforms, while H-Sphere and Plesk also work with Windows. According to the cPanel website, a Windows version of cPanel is in development.

Other features that set these control panels apart are their degree of automation, the number of features and ease of use for the end user, and the features and ease of use for you, the reseller.

Alabanza When you become an Alabanza reseller, you don’t just have a reseller account you lease a dedicated server from Alabanza. Alabanza owns the control panel and the server, and you resell directly for Alabanza. If you lease a dedicated Alabanza server, you can create your own reseller accounts. However, only you can set up hosting plans; resellers below you will be limited to hosting plans that you create.

Alabanza offers resellers a high degree of automation with its Domain System Manager (DSM), which can significantly reduce overhead and time spent on routine tasks:

- Account creation

- Billing and invoice management

- Credit card processing

- Domain registration

- Email notifications

- Ordering fraud protection

Even novices can sell hosting with this level of automation.

DSM also integrates with bulkregister.com for domain name registration. It does not easily integrate with other domain registrars, though.

A key Alabanza feature that resellers can offer their clients is the Xpress Product Suite, which provides web development and email management tools. The Xpress Product Suite includes SiteXpress, a website-building program that features over 300 templates and requires no web design skills.

cPanel For resellers and end users, cPanel is known for its ease of use and range of features. cPanel’s collection of over 50 pre-installed scripts and Fantastico auto installer help clients set up their sites with little web development knowledge.

A basic cPanel reseller account comes with two separate programs for resellers to manage their business:

WHM (Web Host Manager) is used to create accounts and packages, add and suspend sites, modify passwords, view bandwidth usage, park domains, install SSL certificates, and perform other administrative functions.

From the reseller’s cPanel control panel, a drop-down menu takes the reseller to the control panels for each of the sites on the reseller account, including the reseller’s site.

With the addition of an optional program, WHM AutoPilot, you can automate account creation and suspension, email notifications, and other tasks. WHM AutoPilot also integrates with common payment gateways and has a helpdesk, an invoice module, and other tools.

H-Sphere H-Sphere is designed for both Linux and Windows platforms. Moreover, resellers can set up plans for both Linux and Windows and administer sites on different servers from the same control panel. The control panel, actually a separate server, also provides administrative access to the integrated helpdesk.

The H-Sphere control panel server automates account configuration, credit card processing, domain registration, and email notifications. It also includes a built-in billing module and supports over 20 payment gateways.

From the reseller’s point of view, H-Sphere has a higher learning curve than most other control panels because of its numerous features. For example, when setting up a new plan, the administrator has two pages of features to choose from, including setup and monthly pricing for optional services.

Beginning webmasters may find H-Sphere too complicated for their needs. More advanced users, however, appreciate the features and control that H-Sphere offers the end user. A key feature is the ability to have control over separate domains with multi-domain hosting.

H-Sphere comes with the website builder Site Studio, which guides users through a variety of style choices and stores content separately from the layout. No HTML or FTP knowledge is required.

Plesk Plesk is known for its stability and security. Resellers and end users like its simple navigation, its clean interface, and its professional appearance. It comes in versions for both Linux and Windows platforms.

With Plesk, all users use the same control panel but with different levels of control:

- Server administrator

- Client / reseller

- Domain owner

- Mail user

Each level of the control panel gives the user control of that level and the level(s) below it. Email users, for example, can log into their mail user control panel to change their password, add autoresponders, and change other personal settings without having access to the domain owner control panel.

Plesk handles SpamAssassin at the mailbox level rather than at the domain level.

This feature enables users to whitelist or blacklist email for each email address, allowing each email user to have individual settings.

SWsoft, the company behind Plesk, also offers Site Builder, a five-step website builder using pre-built templates. SiteBuilder has over 300 templates in different categories to choose from, and users can publish their sites without any HTML or FTP knowledge.

If your Plesk reseller account is with a web host that offers HSPcomplete, you will have some automation available with your account, such as credit card charges and email notification.

Understanding Credit Report Score

Filed under: Mathematics Parlor — admin @ 3:48 am

Understanding credit report scores is important when you see your credit report because you need to be able to make some sense of it.

Your credit score is used by anyone loaning you money such as credit card companies, home loan lenders, auto loan lenders and finance companies. They all use your credit score to determine your credit risk. The interest the lender charges you is based on your credit risk. So you can see how understanding credit report scores is information that can save or cost you money.

You need to find out what your credit score is before you talk to any lender in case there is something on your report that you may question. You don’t want the lender to find a mistake that you aren’t aware of. If you find a mistake, it takes at least 30-60 days before you see corrections in your credit reports and scores.

You have probably heard that checking your credit will bring down your score. But checking your own credit report and score is counted as a “soft inquiry” and doesn’t harm your credit score at all. Only “hard inquiries” from a lender or creditor, made when you apply for credit, will bring your credit score down a few points.

Your credit report should have the three main credit services Experian, Trans Union and Equifax and each service will give you a different credit score.

The credit scores will range between 300 and 870 with each credit service giving a different score. The higher your score is the better, because as your credit score increases, your credit risk decreases.

The average high approval score where the best interest rates are offered is 680 or above. The credit score the lender uses comes from the middle score or an average of all three scores is sometimes used.

Don’t be surprised if you find an error once you get your credit report. Statistics show that 70 percent of credit reports contain serious errors. Those errors are what you want to clear up because they will affect your credit score.

If you find a mistake, you have the right to dispute the information free of charge. Contact the credit bureau that provided the information and dispute the inaccurate information.

Below are the names, addresses, phone numbers and web sites of the three credit bureaus TransUnion, Experian and Equifax.

Equifax Credit
P.O. Box 740241
Atlanta, GA 30374
Equifax 800-685-1111
http://www.equifax.com

TransUnion
P.O. Box 1000
Chester, PA 19022
Trans Union 800-888-4213
http://www.transunion.com

Experian
P.O. Box 2002

Allen, TX 75013
Experian 800-682-7654
http://www.experian.com

You can also contact the creditor direct and ask that the corrected information be provided to the credit bureaus.

If you suspect any fraud, contact all three credit bureaus immediately and place a fraud alert on your report. Then, contact your credit card companies and bank to protect your accounts.

Understanding credit report scores and checking your credit report at least once a year will keep fraud in check and keep your credit score safer.

A Look at Cloisonné Lapel Pins

Filed under: The Arts Today — admin @ 4:41 pm

Cloisonné lapel pins are the most traditional, if not the most collectible of the lapel pin types. Most of the older lapel pins are either die-cast metal or cloisonné. Cloisonné is from the French word for cell, which refers to the method that cloisonné is created. A metal structure, or cell, is formed with the outline of the design and filled with enamel and then baked to permanently set the design. The cloisonné technique dates all the way back to 13th century B.C. in ancient Japan, however the Chinese really made the art form their own, creating beautiful vases and other artifacts. A cloisonné lapel pin is a modern interpretation of this ancient and beautiful art.

Most true cloisonné lapel pins today are made on a copper base, with enamel colors individually mixed. Each pin is then fired one at a time in an enamel oven at temperatures over 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. This ensures that the colors are “baked on” and will not run. After the lapel pins cool, they are polished to remove any unwanted color bleeding and to make the pin shine. Cloisonné lapel pins are very durable and their colors remain vibrant for the life of the pin.

While the cloisonné process is very detailed, the cost of a high quality cloisonné lapel pin should not cost much more then a similar die-cast or photo etched lapel pin. Depending on the company, design, size and quantity purchased, a custom cloisonné lapel pin should cost around $2.00 per pin to manufacture. A cloisonné pin has a more “retro” look, and therefore may be more appealing to collectors than other types of lapel pins. Plus, with a cloisonné lapel pin you are carrying on an ancient artistic tradition. Due to their more detailed manufacturing process, cloisonné also lends itself to a more dressy or jeweled style of lapel pin. Consider a cloisonné lapel pin if your design includes a stone setting, for example.

No matter what your use, cloisonné is an elegant, durable and affordable option for a custom lapel pin.

Unifying and Separating Landscaping Planting Beds

Filed under: University of Gardening — admin @ 2:25 pm

There are thousands of plant combinations, companion plantings, and color combinations that will work well in landscaping and garden planting schemes.

And form a beginner or do it yourselfer standpoint, simplicity and repitition in planting is a good starting point that can be added to later. I usually say to pick a color scheme of two or three colors and repeat it throughout the garden.

For more curious, experimental, or advanced home landscapers there may be a feel for planting in masses or even random, assorted, and wildflower and ornamental grass beds.

In any instance, there’s always a chance that even the best of planting intentions can disrupt harmony, balance, and unity in the garden instead of creating it.
Periodically adding a neutral colored plant throughout your landscape can help unify planting beds that differ in color, texture, and even height.

Silver or gray plants such as Lambs Ears, Artemesia, Dusty Miller, Santolina, Sage, Horehound, and others are considered neutral colored.

Using white flowers as a neutral also works very well. Anything white is a natural focal point and especially in the garden. In a mass of green foliage, orange flowers, mixed flowers, etc., white always draws our eyes to it. Using it throughout the garden will create a sense of unity.
Use white sparingly. Too much of it tends to feel cluttered.

Unifying a garden that’s out of sorts is really quite simple. As well as moving and matching existing elements, try adding a neutral color plant to the different planting areas.

Separating or “buffering” beds from each other can be as simple as adding a neutral or group of neutrals between colors or beds.

Massage Therapy Basics

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:41 am

What is massage therapy? Massage therapy is a manipulation of
muscles, ligaments, tendons, skin, fascia, and joints in the
body. It is a practice that has been around since the beginning
of peopledom. In fact, ancient techniques are still employed in
today’s modern world. The benefits of massage are extensive. Not
only can it help alleviate pain and aid in physical maladies and
day-to-day functioning, but it impacts mental and emotional
wellbeing. Relaxation, awareness, anxiety, and depression can
all be aided and eased with massage therapy.

Massage boosts the immune system, relaxes and reduces anxiety,
alleviates pain, reduces blood pressure and heart rate,
stimulates lesser used muscles, increases endorphins, aids
physical rehabilitation, and improves circulation (blood and
lymph).

There are many different techniques and therapies in the field
of massage. Some of these may be familiar to you already, even
if you do not know specifically what they entail.

Swedish: Probably the most well known technique, and for good
reason; it’s quite popular.

Acupressure is like acupuncture without the needles. Specific
points are targeted and pressure applied to create a therapeutic
effect.

Aroma Therapy is often used in tandem with other techniques. It
consists of using fragrant oils for healing benefits. These oils
can be applied to the skin or simply allowed to perfume the air
thus allowing those nearby to receive benefits nasally.

Canadian Deep Tissue Massage: A technique that focuses on a
muscle group working with the fibers of the muscle tissue to
rejuvenate each level of muscle including deep tissue.

Deep Tissue Massage works to invigorate and stimulate the muscle
issue on a deep level. It involves more intense manipulation and
can provide tremendous benefits on many levels. Not only does it
help release toxins from the body, it helps

Hot Stone Massage: Warm stones are used on the body with gentle
pressure to provide a soothing, therapeutic sensation. Infant
Massage: Becoming more popular everyday, infant massage has been
proven to help infants gain weight and speed development. It is
taught to mothers as a way to bond with their new children.

Other techniques include Chi Nei Tsang, Reflexology,
Shiatsu,Thai Massage, Amma Therapy, Alexander Technique, Aston
Patterning, Bioenergetics, Bowen Technique, and Craniosacral
Therapy.

Massage therapists are required to pass standardized tests in
order to receive a license and become a registered massage therapist. Training is
often completed at a trade, vocational, or career college and is
usually completed in 2 years or less depending on the school and
the program.

Massage therapy is considered a health field and massage therapy
is often covered under many health plans because of its proven
healing and beneficial results.

Massage is private and safe. Depending on the type of massage
you receive, partial body, full body, 30 minute or longer, you
may have to undress completely or not at all. The room should be
warm and comfortable and there may be light music playing. If
the environment makes you uneasy, do not hesitate to inform your
therapist; a massage should be a relaxing and pleasant
experience. This is true if you feel pain during any part of
your massage experience. Some techniques are more intensive and
may be a bit uncomfortable at times, but if you feel anything
that makes you uneasy, do not hesitate to speak up.

Massage therapy is a valuable service whether you are
considering a career in massage therapy or if you are just
interested in finding out more information about what it is and
how it can benefit you.

How to Buy Golf Clubs Online - What to Look for in an Online Club Builder

Filed under: House Of Sports — admin @ 1:57 am

Are you in the market for new golf clubs? More and more golfers are considering making their club purchase online. Custom clubs are carving out an online niche. What should you look for in an online club builder? Look for the same traits in an online retailer that you would in a brick and mortar store. Because the online store is somewhere in cyber space and you may not be able to visit an actual business, there are some things to consider. The most obvious is only order from a secure server. The other thing would be to be cautious of sites that don’t allow for custom options, these retailers are probably drop shipping products and can’t give the service needed to help a lot of golfers.

As a professional club builder I have built in bias towards the custom club segment of the market. I also believe that the custom fit option is far better than buying stock “off the rack clubs”. Custom clubs give golfers the option of clubs that are at least as good as any brand name, (most of the time better), at a significantly lower price.

The best way to have clubs fit to your swing is to get what is known as a dynamic fitting. This is where the golfer actually hits shots, and measurements are taken to determine the best fit options. This obviously can’t be done online. The next best option can be done online, and that is static fitting. In a static fitting the customer answers a series of questions, takes measurements, and submits them to the club builder to determine the best fit.

When choosing an online club fitter, look for someone that has professional club building credentials. Look for someone that has personal references, someone that is willing to talk to you personally. A large part of club fitting is an interaction between golfer and club fitter. Measurements alone are not always an absolute indicator. For example, I had a customer come into my shop this week looking for a new driver. His swing speed measured 105 mph. This would generally indicate the player needs a stiff flex shaft. Because of the load this player put on the club, he actually needed an “X” flex shaft. I’ve seen enough of these exceptions to the rule that I believe a conversation should be part of the online buying experience. During a dynamic fitting session, the club fitter will have an interaction with the player. If I spend an hour with a player during a dynamic session, I should be able to spend a few minutes on the phone with someone from another area for a static fitting.

An important quality of an online fitter is how do they stand behind their products? The guarantee can make the difference between real value and shoddy craftsmanship. Many component manufacturers will warrant their heads and shafts against manufacturing defects, but they don’t back products that have been deemed “abused” or improperly assembled. The club builder’s guarantee should cover these issues. No club builder will guarantee a club that some one that has tried to use a club to chop down a tree, or thought a club could fly, but for all but the worst case, the club builder will back his or her workmanship.

Finally, to get the most from an online fitting experience is to answer any questions the club fitter has as brutally honest as possible. If you hit your drives 200 yards with a huge banana slice, don’t let your ego get in the way, and say you hit drives 250 down the middle. I had a call from a golfer that told me he was a beginner, and he hit his drives on the average of about 290 yards and always in the fairway. He wanted a club to give him more distance. I don’t think he was trying to lie about his game, but, I believe that he was not a good judge of distance and he only remembered the ones in the fairways. The more information that you can give the club fitter, the closer you can get to a perfectly fit club.

This guide can be used for brick and mortar club builders as well as online. The club buying experience shouldn’t be intimidating or difficult. Getting clubs that fit your individual swing will help you achieve lower scores, more enjoyment, and save you enough money to play more rounds.

What do I need to take an online MBA course?

Filed under: Education + Training — admin @ 1:56 am

Most online MBA courses are commonly put together to meet the needs of working students with undergraduate degrees in business related programs, as well as those with undergraduate degrees outside the area of business. Depending on the student’s prior education in business, most online MBA courses have a 30 credit program, that can often be completed in as little as two years. Depending on the learning institution, students may transfer in up to 6 credits towards their MBA.

In order to know what you need to take an online MBA course, you should first understand how online MBA courses work. All work in the online classrooms is completed and submitted through the computer. Written work is usually submitted as an email attachment. Just like in a traditional classroom, students are often expected to read any textbook material prior to the due date specified in his/her syllabus or course calendar. Class participation is commonly expected from each student in order to successfully pass each course.

It is not uncommon to finish an entire MBA degree program from the comfort of your own home. But if you desire to have a personal meeting with your professor, you are normally welcome to schedule one. The only thing you need in order to take an MBA course is a computer and the desire. The computer would need to be internet ready, with the capability to send email attachments. Depending on the specific institution, windows 95 or greater is necessary.

Registering for an online MBA course is fairly simple. It is basically the same process you endure when you intend to apply for your education through a classroom. You must submit a completed application to the learning institution. Your application fee, and a copy of your resume should accompany the application, as well as any undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Very often your GMAT exam scores will also be necessary. If you already have a Master’s Degree from an accredited college, you may not be required to take the GMAT exam. That will depend on the individual learning institution.

Online MBA courses can be costly, but as long as the institution is accredited, financial aid is available. Financial assistance is often available in the form of loans, grants, and scholarships. To apply for grants, you need to fill out the federal FAGSA form, as well as check with your school’s financial aid office for aid they may offer. Sometimes, even veteran’s benefits may be available to the student. After registering for the online MBA course, it is always best to visit the school’s financial assistance office, or visit that section of their web page for available scholarships and grants.

Understanding the processes and procedures of online MBA courses is important before you enroll. With an internet ready computer, a desire to learn, online MBA courses could be perfect from you. With online MBA courses, you can get the degree you desire from the comfort of your own home

Mansi gupta recommends that you visit www.ombag.net/2005/12/how_does_and_on.html for more information on online MBA course.
